As the Houston Dynamo make a final push to qualify for the MLS playoffs, forward Calen Carr still makes time to give back to the community. To help raise money for Big Brothers Big Sisters, Calen and his Dynamo teammates are hosting a bowling event next Tuesday, October 16 starting at 7pm at the 300 bowling lanes. This past weekend was the Houston Greek Festival held at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral complex near the University of St. Thomas in Houston. After hearing about it for several years from a number of friends, my sister and I decided to finally check it out. Next Wednesday on October 3 we'll be hosting the next Whiskey Wednesday from 6-9pm. I've had several people ask me if we ever do scotch at Whiskey Wednesdays, so next week we're featuring Glenlivet 12. Scotch is definitely an acquired taste, moreso than other spirits.
